Smoking J’s Fiery Foods, nestled in the Hominy Valley of Candler, NC is searching for reliable, purpose-driven pepper people to join our farm crew. If you enjoy working outside in a fun team environment and would like to add a little spice to your life then please read on!

Each summer we welcome new individuals to our chile pepper farm to aid and assist with a variety of farm related tasks including pepper harvesting, field/crop management, and general farm upkeep and beautification. To promote a team environment and keep things interesting, we try to celebrate our hard work and accomplishments with team meals and occasional after work gatherings.  Work typically begins in July and wraps up with an end of season celebration in November once the harvest is complete and fields are prepped for their winter rest. We offer Full Time & Part Time shifts that run from 8am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday. No matter the time, you can always expect to get your hands dirty!

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Must be able to stand for long periods

  • May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs

  • Have a love for spicy peppers…not necessary but, we’re confident you will after working here 🙂
